About The Woven Wilds
Hi! I'm Katie, the maker behind The Woven Wilds. This shop was born in the hours when my toddler slept. It is a one-woman operation, based in Port Angeles, Washington, on the edge of Olympic National Park and the shore of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. I hope my work brings some of the beauty of this incredible place to your home.
Living WallsStaghorn ferns are epiphytes. This means that in nature they grow on trees above the forest floor, and not in soil. Mounting a staghorn fern simulates the conditions for which it is best adapted. The staghorns available on my site are mounted on cedar squares or rounds that I source locally. Each backboard has a small metal loop that fits discreetly over a nail for easy hanging. Staghorn ferns come with care instructions.

Woven WallsThe wall hangings in my shop are woven by me on a wooden loom. I am constantly adding new woven wall hangings to my shop but I also welcome commissions and special orders. If you want a particular size, color palette, or design type please contact me to discuss the details. I would love to create a piece just for you.
